Bio

Exploring how energy systems, materials, and institutions shape the world.

Elayne Cronin, Ph.D., is a documentary filmmaker and photographer working at the intersection of infrastructure and public understanding. Her background spans academic research in international politics, field productions across multiple continents, and strategic leadership roles within technical organizations.

She works inside complex systems, spending time on site with scientists, engineers, operators, and institutional leaders to document how infrastructure actually takes shape, where science, policy, and geography converge. Some projects are embedded documentary partnerships. Others are exploratory, on-camera field work.

Her storytelling is shaped by curiosity, analysis, and presence. She transforms that work into something luminous and understandable.

She takes on a small number of projects at a time and collaborates directly with leadership.
